Statement of Faith

Preparing Tomorrow’s Christian Leaders

Doctrinal Commitment

The theological foundation of Thomas RTS is the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms. While students need not personally subscribe to these standards, they must respect the institution’s doctrinal positions and acknowledge them as the framework for instruction.

Community Covenant

As a Christian learning community, we affirm the call to holiness, humility, charity, and obedience to God’s Word.

Students pursue;

  • Imitating the Christ character
  • Love the church and honor its leaders
  • Demonstrate integrity in all academic work
  • Passion with the unreached people

Statement of Faith

  • We believe that one God exists forever in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that the Bible is the only inerrant and authoritative word inspired by God.
  • We believe in the Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in a sinless life, in miracles, and in the Atonement through His shed blood, His physical resurrection, and ascension.
  • We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he was tempted by Satan and fell, and that he would be redeemed by the Atonement of Jesus Christ for the sin of disobedience of human nature.
  • We believe that through the work of the Holy Spirit, believers are the ones who help believers to live true Christians, to lead godly lives, and to help the church to carry out the Great Commission of Christ.
  • We believe in the resurrection of eternal life for those who are saved, and we believe that those who are lost because they do not believe will be punished forever.
