Preparing Tomorrow’s Christian Leaders
Thomas Reformed Theological Seminary complies fully with the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC) for authorization to operate as a religious degree‑granting institution as outlined in the O.C.G.A. 20-3-250.3 (a)(6) #8208E
Requirements include:
- The institution must be nonpublic and nonprofit.
- Its purposes must be solely to provide programs of study in theology, divinity, religious education, and ministerial training.
- It may not grant postsecondary credentials of a nonreligious nature.
- It must certify that it accepts no federal or state funds and accepts no student who has a federal or state educational loan to attend the institution.
- For the religious exemption application, GNPEC lists these submission items: proof of 501(c)(3) or Georgia nonprofit status / nonprofit charter, a catalog or brochure, a sample diploma / certificate / degree, the online application, and the application fee.
