Background of the New Testament World
The purpose of this course is to understand the historical, cultural, religious background of the Bible at the time of New Testament Writings. This study focuses on the various circumferences emerging Christianity in the context of Judaism, the Hellenistic religions, and the social history of the early Roman Empire. It will help the students to understand the life context of the New Testament for the appropriate interpretation.
